1/25/2018 Educational Game Changer for the very first years of child development. By Professor PRestome UngyobrockRead Now The research question, or rather idea of a proposed educational game changer: is assigning every student an experienced psychologist/liaison. Who could help determine the social and emotional status of a particular child, or rather every child. In order to determine that students academic and development level. The idea is to help fix problems that the child might be experiencing before the problem gets worse. I think this effects all types of development by finding issues at young developmental ages. This might help stop parent abuse and help ease emotional trauma at young ages. I personally believe having children see a psychologist for therapy would be better then having a child go to a religious group seeking emotional help. I think this idea might help bring about more positive teenagers and adults. The article aims to represent and apply a liaison for Pre-Kindergarten through Second Grade. The idea is to apply a psychologist/liaison to every student without segregation while also talking with parents of the child. And of course, the parents might need more advise then the child and this idea would be a chance for that parent to gain parental advise.
“Many of us educators know about the effectiveness of parent advocacy groups in the special education contexts. Whether it be an example like Virginia’s Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center or a broader group such as the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network in New Jersey, the focus of such groups is less on prevention and more on students with existing difficulties. These groups operate “outside” the school; the SEAD liaison would be bringing the child advocacy function inside the school, and this support would be provided for every child. If this approach were tried, even in a limited way at first by assigning just youths in immediate need a SEAD liaison, schools would see benefits, including less instructional time lost and less stress on teachers.”(Maurice Elias) I think these ideas are supported by already existing major results relating to improvement. This would help create more job options for psychologists while also helping out the overly stressed out teachers. As a teacher myself that would be nice, even-though I focus more on Secondary Education. I think you could see an improvement in parental skills, emotional stability, and educational improvement: in society. Source: An On-Site Advocate For Every Student. Maurice Elias. Article. 2017.
