1/26/2018 Communication and New Situations Thinking About Recently - Helicopter parents/teachers failRead Now Some information I have been thinking about recently regarding: Middle School kids and helicopter-parents in 2018, is that many parents and teachers don’t teach their kids how to negotiate. That it goes further to a point where parents and teachers disregard any sort of point or argument that the kid has to say. Perhaps the middle school student learned something from their peers: rather good or bad via the view of the parent… Or experienced something new, or perhaps experienced the receiving side of what they were doing to others.. Teachers, and Parents/family shouldn’t ever be the only influence over a kid. If a kid doesn’t have any personal experience of their own then they will struggle in everything regardless of how smart or experienced the parent/teachers might be, because when confronted with a new situation by themselves, they don’t have someone to give them an answer. Teachers and parents often try to dominate and dictate the lives of their kids to full-fill their own personal agenda. Rather that is school assignments, or actual work you want them to do around the home. If there is some personality from the kid trying to show up… That personality is often attacked by parents/teachers/religious groups. This attacking/dominating by parents/teachers: destroy the personal relationship and any understanding about the child. Since when attacking the kid you automatically- the attacker doesn't understand the kid, and as thus failed, to at least some degree: which is really the only thing that happens. Ultimately, I would say there is a lack of places and locations for people in general to be themselves and do as they want. This is an important part of teaching because there are a lot of aggressive or complaining parents, that teachers often have to deal with.. People who want the best for their kids and make sure that the teacher knows that their kid is the best without typically considering other kids…The previous information is important because there is a whole world outside of just parents and their kids. Kids who typically have friends, at the very least. A parent-should-know that it is normal for one child to score lower, then a different child who has scored higher, in an educational test. Many USA state tests have questions/work that isn’t available to teachers. Ultimately, I guess my lesson here, as a view point of teacher/parent/student etc is just try and take at least a second to relax. Even more so when, you live your life in that constant fast lane of stop and go: perhaps, never ending schedules. Reflecting on the importance of relaxing is, often a point Ill try to make during my teaching carrier, because relaxing is important to lower your stress levels and improve your health.
