The Reminiscence Bump is when you spend a lot of your life, thinking about your own life. This gives you the ability to reflect upon mistakes to often seek improvement, while many consider spending too much time thinking about your own life causes you too waste what life you have left. This relates towards ones self and their personal preference on what people like. Around 6th grade I know that I would have liked to do a whole lot more then remain in class. I would have rather been hanging out with friends, playing video games, reading comic books, swimming, playing sports, driving motorcycles, or listening to rock music. I made some friends at school, but the schools I attended were very strict: they didn’t allow comic books, phones, or music. With that said the 2nd article following this one, will be a self evaluation of myself regarding the general 4 types of development for your own interest. That is part of why teachers are taught to make learning fun. Yet a majority of teachers run out of patience and revert back to the only option they have left… To yell and threaten students. This is often just as disrupting to the learning environment then the kids who were being disrespectful/the ones who are now being yelled at... Teachers stack up detentions, and suspensions. Try to involve parents who typically are unable to function in society themselves. This often leads to a disruptive home life. The teachers move their problem students into other rooms, to avoid them. Homework doesn’t get done. Other kids learn that yelling is the standard that is accepted in society to solve problems. Kids miss vital lessons/instructions, when in detention and suspensions. Students miss their very limited time for individual physical activity, when some students function and learn more effectively when there body is in motion. As you can see this is a failure of adapting to the child's learning abilities. As well as a direct source for a leading cause in the increased divorce/break up rates in parents. Since parents will argue and fight between themselves on what might be best to do for their child who gets rejected from their teacher. |
